Boris Toucas

A French artist living in the Pacific region and Paris, Boris is a precision ballpoint pen artist, compressing memories and emotions with only a blue Bic pen. His entire body of work is a web of interlaced stories, memories and moments, showing how encounters, travels, emotions, affect life experience, and ultimately the notion of self and identity.

His works span travel, portraiture, monuments, nature, glimpses as if ‘in a frame’; his work is also a statement of light and shadow, physical and metaphorical. He is known for his ability to capture the essence of a place, person, moment, vista.

Boris had a solo show in 2024 in Sydney and was represented in Sydney Contemporary 2025, where his work was noted by Australian critics.

He has also worked as a strategist, in international relations and cultural development.
