Michael’s collage work reflects what many of us feel - that life is fragmented, but still beautiful when we find a way to piece it together. We are all living in the same storm of media, influence and identity. Yet identity has never been a fixed idea for Michael. It is something he has had to build, question and rebuild - just like a collage.

His work explores consumerism, identity, memory and colour. These ideas are the soundtrack to his life, and the pulse behind the images he chooses. When he creates - he is not just making art, but also claiming space, telling his story, and offering others a mirror to reflect their own.

Michael is also an educator and works with students of diverse backgrounds, helping them chart a course through learning and self development.
